Ricardo has more than 28 years in the Energy sector, especially in the Midstream sector, with extensive experience developing and implementing infrastructure projects for the marine port sector focused on facilities for the handling and storage of bulk liquids such as hydrocarbons and their derivatives, petrochemical and chemical products and corrosives (sulfuric acid).
Ricardo has worked on various terminal projects in Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Trinidad & Tobago. For example, Ricardo has worked in the design and development of the greenfield project for Odfjell in the port of Callao in Lima, PerĂº. After the completion of the construction, Ricardo was in charge of the operation of the new facility for 12 years having successfully handled more than 2.5 million tons of 98% concentrated sulfuric acid and 600,000 tons of various bulk chemicals. Lately, Ricardo has worked on several expansion and greenfield projects in Colombia, Mexico, the United States, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Ricardo holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Engineering of Lima, Peru. Throughout his career, Ricardo has participated in different training courses for the design and engineering of tank farms, as well as training related to quality, environment, and safety of operations.
